Professor Greg Walker

Professor Walker is Regius Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. He has also worked at the Universities of Leicester, Buckingham, Southampton, and Queensland, Australia. His research interests span the disciplines of literary criticism and history, and focus on the poetry, prose, and especially the drama of the period from the later middle ages to the Renaissance.
Professor Walker has chaired the AHRC Advisory Board since 2013, and will chair the REF sub-panel for English in REF 2021. He is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society, the English Association, the Society of Antiquaries of London, the Agder Vitenskapsakademi, Norway, and the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
