AHRC is launching a new funding scheme to support early career fellowships in cultural and heritage institutions, with a complementary programme of networking events and cohort development activities.

We awarded the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) a grant to organise these activities. The V&A will work closely with AHRC as the scheme coordination and development team, and invite you to the events.

Town hall events

4 town hall events are planned for potential fellowship applicants to present the scheme and answer questions. All townhall events will be live streamed and 2 will include the option to attend in person.

The townhall event on 16 December 2022 is no longer being held in person due to rail union industrial action. This event will go ahead online.

The events are for potential applicants and galleries, libraries, archives, and museums sector organisations interested as acting as project partners. They will provide an opportunity to meet representatives from AHRC, scheme coordination and development team and independent research organisations (IRO).

Online matchmaking events

3 online matchmaking events offer potential fellowship applicants an opportunity to book a 1 to 1 meeting with a representative from an IRO to discuss their project proposal. You must register in advance to attend, this event is not open for drop-ins.
