UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund
The UK Innovation and Science Seed Fund was founded in 2002 with a mission to support early-stage technology companies to commercialisation.
Through the four core partners; Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC), Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL).
The fund has a total of £27m in subscribed capital and has supported 57 companies to date, 78% of which would not have been established or would have ceased to operate without support from UKI2S.
