Update to the UKRI fEC Grant and Training Grant Terms and Conditions
UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has updated its fEC Grant Terms and Conditions and Training Grant Terms and Conditions, as part of its standard biannual update.
In this revision, UKRI has clarified its existing position regarding how the latest set of Standard Terms and Conditions apply to all fEC Grants and Training Grants with immediate effect and supersede any previous Standard Terms and Conditions under which a Grant/Training Grant was awarded. Any Specific Terms and Conditions that a Grant/Training Grant was previously awarded under will still apply.
UKRI has set out its expectations for grant holders in relation to compliance with State Aid legislation. In addition, UKRI’s position relating to which staff cost types are eligible for reimbursement in relation to family and sick leave for fEC Grants has been clarified.
A new condition has been introduced requiring organisations to have whistleblowing policies and processes in place, reflecting the importance of fostering a safe and supportive environment within the research sector.
As part of this exercise, supporting information within the accompanying terms and conditions guidance documents has also been updated; guidance should be read in conjunction with the updated fEC and Training Grant Terms and Conditions. UKRI has consulted with the UKRI Research Organisation Consultation Group regarding the impact of these changes.
