Updated government guidance for research organisations on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme
The government has today published updated guidance for research organisations to provide greater clarity on the use of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) to furlough research staff.
The Treasury recently announced that the final date by which an employer needs to agree with their employee and ensure they place them on furlough is 10 June. The scheme will close to new entrants from 30 June.
You can find the guidance here. UKRI will shortly provide details of the notification and monitoring process that will be put in place to track the use of the scheme for people who have been funded through UKRI grants, to ensure no public funding is drawn down for the period of furlough.
