This document provides details of who can apply to take part in the International Ocean Discovery Program and the level of funding you can apply for. It also outlines eligible costs, how long the research can last for, and how to submit your application.

    A note has been added to advise applicants that due to budgetary constraints UKIODP has had to reduce moratorium grant maximum funding limits. All UK participants intending to sail on future expeditions should contact iodp@nerc.ukri.org at the earliest opportunity to discuss moratorium grant funding.

    A note has been added to advise applicants that due to budgetary constraints UKIODP cannot guarantee funding will exist to support moratorium grants beyond the end of 2023. All UK participants intending to sail on Expeditions during 2024 and beyond should contact iodp@nerc.ukri.org at the earliest opportunity to discuss moratorium grant funding.
