Details

The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) digital environment programme aims to improve the understanding and modelling of longer-term environmental change. This public dialogue tested the potential for future dialogic activities engaging a diverse range of publics.

The ‘digital environment: views on emerging issues and wider possibilities’ report sets out how Hopkins Van Mil designed a process to enable NERC to listen and respond to the issues and opportunities raised by citizens as stakeholders in research on the topic of digital environment. The pilot process involved two rounds of public dialogue workshops in two locations.

The ‘constructing a digital environment public dialogue evaluation report’ sets out:

  • the findings from the two stages of the dialogue project
  • the validity and immediate outcomes of the dialogue processes
  • understanding the potential impact of the dialogue project.
