What happens after you submit your proposal - STFC

When we receive your proposal we check it to make sure it’s a fit with our remit and opportunity objectives. We also check you’ve adhered to the guidelines.

We may return the proposal to you for amendments or reject it, if for example it does not match our remit.

When checks and amendments are complete we send your proposal to peer reviewers. They comment on and grade the proposal. You have the opportunity to respond to comments.

We give all the information – proposal, grades, comments, your responses – to the grants panel to look at and make funding recommendations.
