This data provides the competitive funding decisions made by UKRI’s nine councils between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019.
It is a breakdown of data in the UKRI Annual Report and Accounts 2018-19 Annex A – Performance Metrics (PDF, 3.6MB) and additionally includes the Strength in Places Fund.

How this data differs from previous years
The figures published here are not comparable to previous years as the methodology has changed – for example, in the past some councils took the number of applications received in a year and reported the decisions on these.
Instead, we now look at the decisions made in a year, and what those decisions were, regardless of when the application was received.
This standardised approach enables UKRI to incorporate all the councils in a consistent and easily comparable way.
