Our major research and innovation campuses at Harwell, Daresbury and research facilities across the UK and overseas support fundamental research in astronomy, physics, computational science and space science.

Astronomy Large awards support themed, programmatic large projects tackling big research questions or technology development with the potential to produce world-leading research.

You must be:

UK-Canada quantum for science research collaborations

This funding opportunity is open to researchers from the UK and Canada to collaborate on the following topics:

  • quantum sensors and detectors
  • quantum communications

Project leads must be based at research organisations eligible to receive STFC and NSERC funding respectively.
