How often prioritisation panels meet

We batch proposals so that there are generally around 40 to 50 considered at each prioritisation panel meeting.

Panels prioritise the following schemes:

  • Standard research
  • New Investigator Award
  • networks
  • Overseas Travel Grants
  • workshops
  • fellowships.

Information and communications technology standard panel

Meeting frequency: about eight to nine times a year.

Mathematical sciences panel

Meeting frequency: about four times a year.

Mathematical sciences small grants scheme

Meeting frequency: about four times per year.

Physical sciences panel

Meeting frequency: about six to seven times a year.

Engineering panel

Meeting frequency: about six to seven times a year.

Proposals for developing international collaborations, and for requesting access to national high-end computing services as part of a project, will be considered at the panel most appropriate for the research area.
