We work with other research councils at the boundaries of our remit, to ensure that there are no gaps in funding, and that there is equality of opportunity for proposals at the interfaces of traditional research disciplines, as well as those proposals that fall well within research council remits.
Cross-Council Remit Agreement (CCRA)
All discovery science (responsive mode) grant proposals, under the pushing the frontiers, exploring the frontiers, large grant and independent research fellowship schemes, that extend beyond the remit of a single research council, will be assessed by peer reviewers from across the relevant research disciplines. Decisions will be made through a single council’s peer review process.
