The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) will be hosting an engineering net zero week from 20 to 24 June.

The EPSRC engineering net zero week will showcase EPSRC-funded research that address the challenges linked to meeting 2050 net zero strategic targets.

The week’s activities will be focussed through four thematic areas:

  • towards net zero energy
  • solutions for a greener industry and urbanisation
  • our green future
  • delivering zero emissions transport and mobility solutions.

A highlight of the engineering net zero week is a physical showcase event taking place 21 to 23 June in the new Advanced Research Centre at the University of Glasgow.

Net zero solutions for future generations

Dr Kedar Pandya, EPSRC Director for Cross-Council Programmes said:

We look forward to celebrating the work undertaken by the research and innovation community to provide the solutions to deliver net zero.

Our engineering net zero week will demonstrate the critical work being undertaken in the engineering and physical sciences to discover, develop and deploy net zero solutions for future generations.
