Pre-announcement: UK-Ireland collaboration in digital humanities

Apply for funding for digital humanities research. Your project must be large, innovative and multidisciplinary.

UK-German collaborative research projects in the humanities

This is the third call for UK-German collaborative research projects under an agreement between AHRC and the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Up to £350,000 is available for projects of up to three years. Research projects can address any area of arts and humanities, including law and linguistics.

Engaging the public with Census 2021

Apply for funding for public engagement activity linked to Census 2021.

You must be a UK-based researcher at doctoral level or higher. Your research must focus on arts and humanities, or economic and social sciences.

Your activity must take place between February and April 2021.

Future Leaders Fellowships: Round 6

The Future Leaders Fellowships is a £900 million fund for early career researchers and innovators. It supports research and innovation by outstanding individuals and helps them to establish themselves in universities, UK-registered businesses and other research and innovation environments.

Expressions of interest: Arts and humanities urgency grants

Apply for funding for urgent arts and humanities research. Funding of up to £150,000 is available for projects of up to 18 months. Research must support a development need or challenge in low or middle income countries.

You will find out whether your project is eligible within five working days.

UK-Canada Globalink doctoral exchange scheme

A new and exciting opportunity for UKRI and Canadian doctoral students to participate in a UK-Canada research exchange scheme.

Now open for the third call for applications from UKRI funded doctoral students until 15 December 2020, the UK-Canada Globalink doctoral exchange scheme will support travel, living and research costs for the students in their chosen field of study. Following a competitive application process, the first exchanges will take place from April 2021.

Get funding for ideas that address COVID-19

Proposals are invited for short-term projects addressing and mitigating the health, social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak.

AHRC research networking scheme

The research networking scheme supports the exchange of ideas between researchers and stakeholders by funding the costs of workshops, seminars or other networking activities, covering up to £30,000 for a period of up to two years, with an additional £15,000 for international costs.

AHRC: Working with Brazilian researchers

You can apply to work with overseas researchers in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Collaborative work on any area of arts and humanities is governed by an agreement between UKRI and FAPESP.

UKRI-SBE lead agency opportunity

The UKRI-SBE lead agency opportunity allows UK and US-based researchers to submit a collaborative proposal that will go through a single review process. Grants are funded through existing funding programmes at the relevant lead agency.
