New Generation Thinkers 2025

This scheme offers five early career researchers the opportunity to be ‘researchers in residence’ where they will work with programme makers at BBC Radio 4 and produce a piece of writing to be recorded for radio.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for this opportunity.

UKRI Future Leaders Fellowships Renewal Meeting 11 (Invite only)

Future Leaders Fellowship (FLF) award holders have the opportunity to extend their four-year fellowship by up to a further three years. The renewal funding will continue to support the development of a fellow and further the fellow’s work to undertake adventurous, ambitious programmes that tackle difficult and novel challenges.

Data sandpit for metascience

Apply to attend a four-day interactive sandpit to develop novel projects that can address multi-faceted metascience questions related to research and development (R&D) funding and inform R&D policymaking.

The sandpit will take place in February 2025. Attendance for the full four days will be mandatory for selected participants.

You must be:

  • based at a research organisation eligible for AHRC funding
  • working with a German team led by a researcher eligible for DFG funding
  • proposing a project within the remit of AHRC

This opportunity provides an open and flexible route to computational support for high quality projects across the entire UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) remit.

This application process is purely for compute resource for up to 12 months. No funding is available to successful applicants.
