UK-German collaborative research projects in the humanities

This is the third funding opportunity for UK-German collaborative research projects under an agreement between AHRC and the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Up to £350,000 is available for projects of up to three years. Research projects can address any area of arts and humanities, including law and linguistics.

Museums’ digital innovation and engagement fund

Apply for funding for digital innovation and engagement activities in your museum.

Your museum must be an institutional member of the Museums Association. It does not need to be an independent research organisation.

You must be a UK-based researcher at doctoral level or higher. Your research must focus on arts and humanities, or economic and social sciences.

Your activity must take place between February and April 2021.

ESRC-MOST UK-Taiwan networking grant

This opportunity seeks to improve the connectivity between UK and Taiwan social science research communities.

Proposals should contain a UK component, to be funded by ESRC, and a Taiwan component, to be funded by MOST.

Applications to ESRC for the UK component must be submitted by a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding.

Sustainable mineral resources in the Philippines

UK-Philippine teams are invited to apply for funds to generate a whole system view of sustainable mineral supplies in the Philippines.

Up to six short partnership and project development grants will be awarded to teams to facilitate the development of strategic large grant proposals (due July 2021).

Joint Global Health Trials

Trial development applications are typically up to £200,000 and 2 years duration and should aim to improve health in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Applicants based at eligible research organisations in LMICs and the UK are eligible to apply.

Future Leaders Fellowships: Round 6

The Future Leaders Fellowships is a £900 million fund for early career researchers and innovators. It supports research and innovation by outstanding individuals and helps them to establish themselves in universities, UK-registered businesses and other research and innovation environments.

ISCF Future Plastic Packaging Solutions

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £2 million for early-stage projects in smart and sustainable plastic packaging. This funding is from the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.

Expressions of interest: Arts and humanities urgency grants

Apply for funding for urgent arts and humanities research. Funding of up to £150,000 is available for projects of up to 18 months. Research must support a development need or challenge in low or middle income countries.

You will find out whether your project is eligible within five working days.

ESRC responsive mode: working with Luxembourg researchers round one

This opportunity funds collaborative work with researchers in Luxembourg, governed by an agreement between UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and FNR, Luxembourg.

You may submit collaborative research proposals in any area of social sciences within the remit of both ESRC and FNR.
