Funding can be used for:

You may request up to £15,000 for each placement.

Apply for funding to procure, install, and operate a 1.2 GHz nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) facility in the UK.

The facility must benefit all relevant research communities.

Reducing global health non-communicable disease risk for young people

Apply for global health funding to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases through implementation research.

You must:

  • be based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding
  • work in partnership with co-investigators based in low or middle income countries (LMICs) where the work will take place.

  • focus on people aged 10 to 24 in LMICs.

Up to £5,000,000 is available (subject to quality). We expect to fund several projects.

Your project should:

  • facilitate cross-partner collaboration with a view to establishing one (or more) community asset hubs, articulating hub structure and membership
  • scope whole or part of an integrated care system (or devolved equivalent) to understand the range of services, scale of provision, key stakeholders and existing partnerships
  • explore different collaborative models for integrating co-production into the improvement of health systems.

Centre for Doctoral Training: environmental solutions to zoonoses

Apply for funding to deliver a new cross-council Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in environmental drivers and solutions for zoonoses.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI research grant funding.

You will:

  • train a community of researchers working within a One Health framing
  • encourage the community of researchers to identify integrated solutions with an environmental approach.

Expression of interest: Establish a total-body PET facility

Submit an expression of interest for funding to establish a total-body positron emission tomography (PET) facility as part of a new national Total-Body PET programme.

You must be based at a UK research organisation or institution eligible for MRC funding.
