Land use for net zero – Hub (LUNZ-Hub)

Apply for funding to establish a coordination and translation hub for the transforming land use for net zero, nature and people programme.

The full economic cost (FEC) of your project can be up to £7,800,000. UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) will fund 80% of the FEC (up to £6,250,000).

Funding is available for up to 40 months, with a fixed start date of 1 November 2023.

strategic Longer and Larger (sLoLa) grants: frontier bioscience 2023 to 2024

Apply for funding to undertake large team-based fundamental bioscience research projects which push the frontiers of human knowledge.

Human Functional Genomics Initiative clusters

Apply for funding to lead a cluster as part of a coordinated Human Functional Genomics Initiative.

The total fund is up to £16 million and funding will last for four years. We anticipate funding four to five clusters.

Building a Secure and Resilient World: Research and Coordination Hub

Apply for funding for UKRI’s Building a Secure and Resilient World Research and Coordination Hub.

This investment will convene interdisciplinary research and innovation across the UKRI remit to strengthen societal and economic resilience and enhance security across virtual and physical environments.

BBSRC Innovation to Commercialisation of University Research (ICURe)

Apply for funding to get out of the lab and test your technology in the market to uncover its commercial potential.

BBSRC ICURe is open to research teams in all UK universities, BBSRC-funded institutes and approved public sector research enterprises.

EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training

This funding opportunity is only open to applications assessed in the outline stage of the EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) funding exercise and invited to submit to the second stage.

EPSRC expects to commit up to £325 million to support approximately 40 CDTs across the engineering and physical science landscape.

You can apply for up to £3,000 to cover travel and subsistence when travelling outside the UK in support of your BBSRC-funded research.

BBSRC Brazil pump-priming award

You can apply for up to £35,000 over two years to pump-prime collaborations between scientists in the UK and São Paolo state in Brazil. The awards support the development of future applications within our remit under the UK Research and Innovation-São Paulo Research Foundation lead agency agreement.
