UK-US new directions for digital scholarship in cultural institutions: level two

Apply for up to £250,000 to advance digital scholarship in cultural institutions.

Project teams must include UK and US research organisations and cultural institutions, and must focus on one of the following:

  • organising, creating and interrogating all collection types
  • evolving institutions for the 21st century
  • fostering digitally enabled equitable participation.

Projects can last up to 36 months.

Apply for up to £60,000 to advance digital scholarship in cultural institutions.

Project teams must include UK and US research organisations and cultural institutions, and must focus on one of the following:

  • organising, creating and interrogating all collection types
  • evolving institutions for the 21st century
  • fostering digitally enabled equitable participation.

Projects can last up to 24 months.

Develop digital economy research communities with NetworkPlus

Apply for funding to build digital economy and manufacturing research communities with NetworkPlus. These must address one of the EPSRC digital economy theme priority areas.

The following can apply:

  • UK higher education institutions
  • research council institutes
  • UKRI-approved independent research organisations
  • public sector research establishments
  • NHS bodies with research capacity.

Innovation in time dissemination and application

UK registered organisations can apply for support for business-led innovation in resilient time, frequency and synchronisation.

This funding is from the Strategic Priorities Fund (SPF).

Knowledge transfer partnerships: 2021 to 2022, round two

UK registered academic institutions, research and technology organisations (RTOs) or Catapults can apply for a share of up to £6 million to fund innovation projects with businesses or not-for-profits.

Addressing COVID-19 challenges with Japanese researchers

Apply for funding for a social sciences, arts or humanities research project. This must be in collaboration with Japanese researchers.

You must be a UK researcher based at an eligible research organisation.

We encourage you to address challenges and opportunities associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Research-ready data and access funding

Apply for funding to research improving access to, and use of, administrative data. The data is routinely collected information, usually from public services.

To apply you must be from a UK academic institution or government organisation.

You must have experience working with data and have relationships with data owners.

Adventurous energy research for a sustainable net zero: outlines

Apply for funding for high-risk research into technologies to enable a sustainable net zero.

You must be a UK-based researcher employed by an eligible research organisation.

Holders of postdoctoral fellowships are not eligible to apply.
