Bruce Griffith is farm manager at the Rothamsted North Wyke Farm Platform in Devon.

North Wyke is dedicated to science and researchers there collect data on just about everything that happens at the farm. The data is used to build up a big picture view of environmental processes: from where the water goes, to how greenhouse gases are absorbed and released.

It’s Bruce’s job to run the farm and keep data collection flowing on a daily basis. Using his knowledge of the land, he puts different farming approaches into practice for experiments, ensuring they’re consistent over time so that the team can collect high-quality data.
