ESRC Strategic Lead for Public Policy Research and Place-based Strategy

Alice leads the development and delivery of the Economic and Social Research Council’s (ESRC) engagement and impact strategy for policy and practice in the devolved nations, at a local level and within the third sector. She is responsible for the development of strategic place-based investments and ESRC’s evidence synthesis strategy.

Prior to joining ESRC Alice led the engagement team at the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research and Data. She has previously worked for:

  • the Creative Economy team at Cardiff University
  • a Member of the European Parliament
  • a community development membership organisation
  • English Heritage
  • Carnegie UK Trust
  • the BBC as a broadcast journalist and programme maker
