Naomi Beaumont

ESRC Strategic Lead for Health and Human Behaviour

Naomi Beaumont is Strategic Lead for Health and Human Behaviour at the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Naomi first worked at ESRC in 1998, and her career at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) also involves time leading international activities in the Arts and Humanities Research Council as well as working in the UKRI India team in Delhi.

Naomi’s portfolio includes oversight of the development and commissioning of a wide variety of health, wellbeing and biosocial related research and knowledge exchange activities including: work on mental health, public health, social care, antimicrobial resistance, epidemics, ageing, and dementia.

Most of these initiatives involve working in partnership with other UK and international research funders including government departments and third sector organisations, as well as other constituent parts of UKRI.
