ESRC Head of Strategy
Pam Mason is Head of Strategy at the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
Pam oversees ESRC’s Delivery Plan and reporting. The team is also responsible for developing and delivering ESRC’s strategic engagement with key academic partners (including other research funders, research organisations, learned societies and professional disciplinary associations).
Pam joined the ESRC in 2017 as strategic lead for International Development. As a result of a particular interest in interdisciplinary research, her career since 2006 has spanned several research councils, including the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and most recently leading ESRC’s International Development team.
Pam received a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2005.
