Details

Through Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) and the Newton Fund, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is committed to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion and to equitable partnerships.

We have used equality impact assessments to help inform the design and delivery of the ODA review processes.

These assessments identify potential impacts on groups of people with protected characteristics and the mitigations that have been incorporated into the processes used.

These four assessments focus on:

  • the methodology used by UKRI to meet the government’s cap on UKRI expenditure on ODA research
  • the methodology used by Innovate UK to meet the government’s cap on UKRI expenditure on ODA research
  • processes and decisions at the GCRF Special Considerations panel
  • processes and decisions at the Newton Special Considerations panel.

This is the website for UKRI: our seven research councils, Research England and Innovate UK. Let us know if you have feedback or would like to help improve our online products and services.
