AHRC invested £16 million across four research programmes, to demonstrate the value of modern languages in the globalised research environment.

The programmes demonstrated the role of languages within arts and humanities, and on a wider scale in relation to important contemporary issues.

These objectives outline the aims for the legacy of this modern languages research from AHRC’s perspective.
