This fellowship has a remit of evaluating solutions which are linked to the need to reduce carbon emissions from the transport sector. Government policy that is focused on this topic is currently being updated and will be published in a revised Transport Decarbonisation Plan.
Surface transport represents the category of travel which the fellowship will investigate, with specific attention paid to the operation of the car fleet and the transition to electric vehicles.
