Funding for NERC studentships

Institutions awarded funding

This page shows NERC PhD studentship opportunities for the 2022 to 2023 academic year.

You can find information about individual studentship opportunities, how to apply and supervisor contact details on the websites in the tables.

If you’re a student

NERC studentships are advertised by the host research organisation as they see appropriate, typically through websites such as Find A PhD.

You cannot apply directly to NERC for studentship funding. You need to apply to the institution where you want to study.

If you are unsure whether an institution offers a NERC studentship or you have a question, contact the institution’s registrar office.
