Relaunch of the prize
The ESRC Celebrating Impact Prize will be pausing in 2025. We are taking time to review the Celebrating Impact Prize to ensure that it is effective and efficiently showcasing the impact of social science funded by ESRC.
We will also review internally how we can ease the burden applying for the prize.
ESRC has been and is continuing to engage with our academic community to better understand how to meet its broader needs.
Our organisation was founded 60 years ago by Michael Young with a commitment to rigorous social and economic research and a conviction that research must be engaged with and make a positive difference to the real world.
The relaunch of the prize will be part of ESRC’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
