In an increasingly complex world, it pays to be prepared and able to adapt to change quickly.

We are working with communities and across disciplines to help us become more resilient.

We have invested in a wide range of projects. These include:

  • an early warning system for landslides
  • digital security systems to fight cybercrime
  • new approaches to emergency planning
  • programmes to support people’s personal wellbeing and resilience

This work will help us respond better to the risks that can affect our daily lives, like climate change, pandemics and the disruption to supply chains due to war or natural disasters.

We are at our most resilient when all areas of our society and economy are working together.

That’s why we’re putting people at the heart of our approach, questioning assumptions, sharing ideas and developing solutions that work for communities.
