The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) is part of UK Research and Innovation, a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government.
Council is the top level decision-making body and is accountable to Parliament for our activities.
The Executive is led by the executive chair to whom day-to-day responsibility is delegated from the Council.
Boards report to and advise Council, enabling delivery of our strategic objectives.
