How BBSRC is governed

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) is part of UKRI, a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government.

BBSRC Council plays a critical role in strategy development and works with BBSRC Executive Chair to deliver BBSRC Council’s aims and strategic objectives and to support UKRI’s overall mission. The role of the council is advisory.
