MRC legacy council

On 1 April 2018, the MRC council became a committee of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), alongside eight other committees (referred to as the ‘councils’).

This page relates to the MRC legacy council, which remains a legal entity for the purpose of transferring assets to UKRI.

The MRC Royal Charter was most recently amended on 28 April 2021, and the council has now one member only, UK Research and Innovation.
