Evidence submissions for NERC training needs and skills gaps

We are inviting evidence submissions detailing emerging training needs and skills gaps across the NERC remit, including remits at the interface with other UKRI research councils.

Community evidence plays a crucial role in informing NERC science including future strategies, funding, partnerships, priority calls and the allocation of future training budgets. The evidence provided through this exercise may feed into strategic research and training decisions.

We welcome submissions from anyone including persons at any level in academia, industry and business, policy, third sector organisations; or from any other organisation, collaboration, or group.

Evidence submissions can be made at any time throughout the year.

Please note, this exercise is not an open funding opportunity with direct funding attached. For examples of current NERC skills and directed training, see our information on career and skills development.
