The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government.
The STFC Council came into effect with the launch of UKRI on 1 April 2018.
The STFC Council and Executive Board are jointly responsible for the development of the overall STFC strategic delivery plan. The council supports and challenges the Executive Chair to ensure the effective delivery of STFC’s mission.
