Your partner in research and development - STFC

Overview

Our national laboratories situated across the UK are home to the world’s most unique science facilities. The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) enables researchers and businesses to carry out risky and disruptive research and development (R&D) at speed through flexible access to our unique large-scale science facilities, as well as some of the brightest minds in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) who operate these.

As well as being naturally curious, our scientists and engineers thrive on challenge. Working together with industry partners, we break down barriers to achieve results, drawing on expertise from across niche specialisms. We work collaboratively with you to identify which facility or facilities will support your needs. Often access to more than one facility and technique is beneficial, and we can advise you on the best route to take.

We welcome both short-term and long-term collaborative projects, working as an extension to your in-house R&D team.

Contact us today at innovations@stfc.ac.uk for a confidential conversation about your innovation challenges.
