The seminar is part of the Medical Research Council (MRC) Environmental Sustainability seminar series, focused on embedding environmental sustainability into research.

This session will explore how sustainability can be systematically integrated across the full research lifecycle, from governance and leadership to policy, organisational culture, and operational delivery. Drawing on perspectives from universities, research organisations, and the biomedical research community, it will highlight real world examples of how sustainability is embedded into research systems and day‑to‑day practice.

Through expert presentations and case studies, the seminar will examine both strategic and practical approaches, share lessons learned, and support the adoption of sustainable research practices without compromising research excellence.
