UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) congratulates all those who were recognised in the 2021 New Year Honours.

Recipients were recognised for their many and varied contributions, including those funded by or associated with UKRI.

  • Professor Simon Baron-Cohen, University of Cambridge, for services to people with autism
  • Robert Chote, lately Chair, Office for Budget Responsibility, for services to fiscal policy and to the economy
  • Professor Rachel Griffith, Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Council member and director at Institute for Fiscal Studies and Professor at The University of Manchester, for services to economic policy and to education
  • Carol Propper, economist, for services to economic policy and to public health
