ESRC Connect Awards (pilot)

Apply for funding to connect with other researchers to scope, seed and grow emerging research fields and new areas of inquiry.

You must be based at a UK organisation eligible for ESRC funding.

Early career fellowships in cultural and heritage institutions: 2025 (invite only)

Apply for funding to conduct research at participating cultural and heritage institutions. You must:

  • be an early career researcher
  • hold a doctorate in a relevant subject or have equivalent professional experience

Only applicants successful at the expression of interest stage may apply.

Immersive Arts phase two: invite only

Invite-only funding opportunity to lead the second phase of Immersive Arts, a three-year programme to support the development and impact of creative practice and stimulate economic growth through the adoption and application of immersive technologies in the arts, culture and creative sectors across the UK.

You must:

  • be an early career researcher

Defra Farming Innovation Investor Partnership 2026

UK registered micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) can apply for a share of up to £5 million to develop innovative farming solutions. This must align with private investment from selected investor partners.

National PET Imaging Platform: Data Platform

Apply for funding to host the Data Platform for the National PET Imaging Platform (NPIP), a UK Research and Innovation Infrastructure Fund investment.

You must be a member of the consortium bid developed and approved by NPIP and based at a UK research organisation eligible for MRC funding.

Battery Innovation Programme: battery skills initiatives

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £2 million for feasibility studies. These studies aim to speed the translation of advanced materials innovations in three prioritised high growth themes and one strategic opportunity theme.
