Decision Maker Panel 2026 to 2029 (invite only)

This invite-only funding opportunity is designed to ensure the continuity of the Decision Maker Panel (DMP) survey. This funding will provide a three-year phase to sustain the DMP’s high quality data collection infrastructure, the series continuation, and the data availability to researchers across academia and government.

Turing AI Global Fellowships

This fellowship funding opportunity is for exceptional Artificial Intelligence (AI) researchers currently based outside of the UK.

The fellowship offers funding to relocate to the UK and undertake transformational AI research that strengthens the UK’s position as a global leader in AI.

Fellowships can last up to five years.

Research and partnership hubs for a healthy society (invite only)

Apply for funding to establish a large-scale multidisciplinary research hub drawing on expertise across the EPSRC and health research community to support people to live healthier lives and prevent ill health.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for EPSRC funding.

Focal awards: art history, visual arts and creative practice

Apply for funding to support doctoral students through a focal award in art history, visual arts and creative practice. These awards will provide opportunities through partnership between higher education institutions (HEI) and non-HEI partners.

UK-Ireland collaboration in the creative economy: research networking awards

Apply for funding to form creative economy focused networks between researchers and stakeholders in the UK and Ireland.

Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) will provide up to £35,000 full economic costs (FEC) and Research Ireland will provide up to €35,000 for the Irish costs of each funded network.

BBSRC Follow-on Fund: 2026 round one

Apply to lead the formation of a strategic research lab dedicated to advancing the UK’s position in fundamental artificial intelligence (AI) development. Up to £40 million delivered in stages is available over six years to support research and training.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for EPSRC funding.

Professional doctorate: clinical research training fellowship

Apply for funding to undertake a PhD.

Your research can focus on any area of Medical Research Council (MRC)’s remit to improve human health.

You must:

  • be a registered healthcare professional
  • be at an appropriate point in your training to undertake a PhD
  • show plans to pursue a research career

Capacity building: clinical research training fellowship

Apply for funding to reacquire research skills.

Your research can focus on any area of Medical Research Council (MRC)’s remit to improve human health.

You must:

  • be a registered healthcare professional
  • be a PhD graduate working outside of research, usually five or more years ago
  • show plans to pursue a research career
