Future Leaders Fellowships: Round 6

The Future Leaders Fellowships is a £900 million fund for early career researchers and innovators. It supports research and innovation by outstanding individuals and helps them to establish themselves in universities, UK-registered businesses and other research and innovation environments.

UK-German collaborative research projects in the humanities

This is the third funding opportunity for UK-German collaborative research projects under an agreement between AHRC and the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Up to £350,000 is available for projects of up to three years. Research projects can address any area of arts and humanities, including law and linguistics.

UK-Canada Globalink doctoral exchange scheme

A new and exciting opportunity for UKRI and Canadian doctoral students to participate in a UK-Canada research exchange scheme.

Now open for the third round for applications from UKRI funded doctoral students until 15 December 2020, the UK-Canada Globalink doctoral exchange scheme will support travel, living and research costs for the students in their chosen field of study. Following a competitive application process, the first exchanges will take place from April 2021.

Your research must have been funded by UKRI, JST or DOST.

This is the first phase of the ‘Science, Technology and Action’ Nexus for Development (STAND). Up to 5 projects will be funded for up to 12 months.

NERC highlight topics

You can apply for funding for research projects which address environmental challenges covered by six new highlight topics.

Your proposal must address issues within a single highlight topic.

Projects can last up to four years.

You must be a resident in the UK and employed by an eligible UK research organisation.

NERC large grant

This funding opportunity supports innovative, large-scale and complex research tackling big science questions. You can apply for funding between £1.2 million and £3.7 million (at 100% full economic cost) for projects lasting up to five years. We will fund 80% of your project’s full economic cost.
