Kay Boycott

MRC Council senior independent member

Kay Boycott is a senior independent member of the Medical Research Council (MRC) Council.

Kay is a portfolio chair and non-executive director, primarily in the healthcare sector.

She currently holds board roles for Eakin Healthcare Group, English Heritage, North Central London Integrated Care Board (NHS) and the Isle of Wight Youth Trust. She is a member of the London Fire Brigade’s independent audit and risk committee.

Kay started her career in marketing and customer roles for Nestlé Rowntree and Johnson & Johnson, followed by strategy consultancy for global commercial organisations and the UK government.

Recently, she sat on the board for Durham University and was the Chief Executive of Asthma UK, leading the organisation through a merger with the British Lung Foundation, becoming the new organisation’s first Chief Executive.
