Chief of Staff
Robert is Innovate UK’s Chief of Staff, supporting Indro Mukerjee to deliver Innovate UK plans to help UK businesses grow through innovation.
Prior to this, he was Finance Director with responsibility for financial management oversight of all Innovate UK programmes and operating activity. Robert is also a Director for Innovate UK Loans Ltd.
Prior to joining Innovate UK in May 2018, Robert was Deputy Director, Finance and Governance at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
Robert is a qualified accountant and has extensive public sector finance experience over a 15-year period, working at HM Treasury, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and in local government.
