Details

As the UK’s major public funder of bioscience research, BBSRC is responsible for the long-term investment of substantial public funds in strategically supported research institutes.

Following an institute assessment exercise in 2022, BBSRC will invest more than £376 million in its strategically supported institutes over the next five years.

The investment comprises a series of funded programmes and grants, including BBSRC’s Institute Strategic Programmes (ISPs). These are programmes of excellent research addressing a strategic research need with direct objectives.

This brochure provides information about BBSRC’s strategically supported institutes and the ISPs they will be working to deliver over the next five years with BBSRC funding.
