The EPSRC healthcare technologies strategy identifies challenges that can be addressed through research in engineering and physical sciences.

The challenges are:

• improving population health and prevention
• transforming early prediction and diagnosis
• discovering and accelerating the development of new interventions

It also identifies enablers and outcomes that research in health technologies should address.
