This booklet presents a snapshot of the many spin-outs that have arisen from Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded research. It highlights key facts and a selection of profiles and case studies showcasing just some of the fantastic research and innovation being undertaken by the engineering and physical sciences community.
The many outcomes and impacts highlighted by the EPSRC research community every year through Researchfish usually include several spin-out companies established by researchers to commercialise the outcomes of their research. There are now more than 1,000 active companies transforming world-leading research into new products and services that:
