As part of the wider transformation of the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s (AHRC) applicant-led (responsive mode) funding, the follow-on funding scheme was paused in July 2024 to allow for an external evaluation of its processes and impact.

This report presents the findings of that evaluation.

AHRC has responded to the recommendations in a blog post, which also includes a pre-announcement of the revised scheme.
