This fellowship framework diagram shows how different fellowship types can support researchers at different stages of their career to achieve the intended outcomes. It indicates increasing independence and leadership in a given research or innovation area.
This is not a linear path, for example, someone may gain independence through a Type 1 fellowship before moving discipline to upskill in another area through a Type 2 fellowship.
