A workbook provides the higher education provider (HEP) income data used in the calculations for HEIF.
The mapping of Research Excellence Framework REF 21 units of assessment to Research England cost centres and Higher Education Statistics Agency cost centres has not changed since original publication in 2022.
The working examples provide spreadsheet formulae for calculations used in mainstream quality-related research (QR) and QR research degree programme supervision funding. You can amend the data to see how changes affect the example allocations. These documents have not changed since original publication in 2023.
The grant letter template was used as the basis for the grant letters sent to Research England funded HEPs in July 2026.
