Details

IKCs form part of UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) approach to commercialisation.

They enhance the academic push behind the drive to commercialisation and are able to work across the whole range of technology readiness levels, pushing emergent technology and services towards industry and nucleating the market.

As a number of the IKCs approached the end of their second phase of funding, UKRI commissioned an independent review into the IKC programme, which was completed in March 2022. The objectives of this were to gain an understanding of the programme’s impact to date, feedback on the scheme and recommendations for future evolution.

This is the website for UKRI: our seven research councils, Research England and Innovate UK. Let us know if you have feedback or would like to help improve our online products and services.
