In this statement we set out our expectations for the people and organisations we fund for managing research and innovation with potential misuse risk. We also outline what we will do as funders to minimise the potential risks of harm arising from the research that we support.

    The joint policy statement from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Medical Research Council (MRC) is changed to a policy statement for the whole UKRI.
