The report explores how postgraduate research students experience career development across the higher education sector, highlighting key challenges and identifying opportunities for improvement. Drawing on insights from a breadth of students and stakeholders, the report offers recommendations to better support students in navigating their development.
The study was conducted by the University of Liverpool between November 2025 and March 2026.
