Details

A short survey was sent to all higher education institutions funded for research by:

  • Research England
  • Scottish Funding Council
  • Higher Education Funding Council for Wales
  • Department for the Economy in Northern Ireland.

The aim was to better understand how university leaders see the future for research in the institutions in the hope of anticipating trends not yet visible in published strategies and large datasets.

A secondary aim was to test the ability of low burden surveys of sentiment to capture this kind of information.

This report collates and findings from 78 responses received from 77 institutions.
